ENVY MARSHALL – The Fire / Drown

A former female wrestler from Adelaide, Envy Marshall comes to the heavy music scene armed with all the stories to support her song lyrics from a lifetime of scars and experiences.

Envy left Adelaide after major head injuries forced her out of the wrestling scene and headed to Melbourne with guitar and attitude in hand, where she fell in with some of the city’s premier songwriters and musicians, including Paul Woseen of The Screaming Jets, put her band together, and released Drown as the debut single in 2019, followed by The Fire just now.

Coming across as a modern-day high-octane Jennie Darren or Pat Benatar, with a voice to rival Lzzy Hale and swaggering riffs from the band on both songs, Envy is looking forward to 2021 and getting the band out on stage to do some shows.

In the meantime Envy has been doing some podcasts featuring artists such as Ryan Roxie, and WWF wrestlers, and locals like Electric Mary and Jimi Hocking, as well as pulling together a cracking video for the new release, directed by Nick Egan.
