Thank you Queensland…More than 60,000 of you flocked to the Ekka on Brisbane’s iconic People’s Day holiday. The next three days of the Ekka are going to be sensational with plenty to see and heaps of entertainment.

Mini-me’s take centre stage (map reference: O8)
Standing no more than three foot tall, these miniature bulls, cows and calves may even upstage their bigger cousins when they take to the Energex Community Arena from 1:30pm. Five different breeds are being judged including the Australian Lowline, Ausline, Dexter, Miniature Grey and Sahiwal. Don’t miss a real crowd pleaser with these little guys in action.

One of your last chances to see Peppa and George Pig for free, CommBank Auditorium (map reference: P17)
Now that Peppa and George Pig’s Australian tour late this year has already sold out, the Ekka offers the rare opportunity to see the world’s favourite TV pigs for free! See these cheeky, lovable characters on stage at today’s 10am, 11am, 12pm and 1pm shows plus give your kids the chance to meet them at the hugely popular Meet and Greet at 2pm in the CommBank Auditorium Foyer.

Fancy a beer with your Strawberry Sundae or an ale with your coffee….go see Beer Matt (map reference: M15)
New to the Ekka foodie experience, The Harvest and Hops Stage in the Woolworths Fresh Food Pavilion has been a hit with show goers this last week. Led by Queensland beer expert Matt Kirkegaard, visitors will learn what food matches best with their favourite beer and cider as well as learning all about craft beers and ciders.

Shearers raise the baaa at Ekka (map reference: V13)
Quintessentially Australian, shearing a sheep is challenging but rewarding. Don’t miss live shearing demonstrations with a professional shearer showing how the wool is shorn from the sheep and where the wool goes to make wonderful garments to wear. Stop by Animal Boulevard today at 10am, 11am, 12pm, 2pm and 3pm.

Nothing boering about it (map reference: R2)
Now that Australia is the world’s largest goat meat exporter, boer goats are becoming an increasingly important part of Queensland’s primary industries. See judging of some of the best goats from Queensland’s leading graziers and farmers in the Upper Level of the McDonald’s Beef Cattle Pavilion from 1pm.

What a star…James BuSTAR sets daily world records (map reference: N13)
Comedic juggler and world record holder James BuSTAR is bringing his unique stunts to this year’s Ekka. Setting new records each day, drop by the Heritage Bank Community Stage daily at midday and see how long James can juggle three clubs on a Pogo Stick, how many air guitar windmills he can get in one minute or how long he can hop on one foot while making a funny face. James will also appear in two daily performances at 11am and 2pm to show off his death-defying axe juggling routine.
