Brisbane International – Day Eight Update

Andy Murray has been crowned the 2012 Brisbane International Men’s Singles Champion in front of a record final Sunday crowd of 6,213 patrons.

The World No. 4 defeated Alexandr Dolgopolov in straight sets 6-1 6-3 in just over an hour.

The total 2012 Brisbane International attendance figures well surpassed the previous 2010 record of 82,257 patrons, reaching a grand total of 92,802 attendees.

In the men’s doubles final, top seeded pair Max Mirnyi and Daniel Nestor defeated second seeded duo Jurgen Melzer and Philipp Petzschner 6-1 6-2 to take out the title.
