They say silence can be golden, and that’s exactly what it has proved to be for Brisbane’s Awaken I Am. After taking a few weeks off, they managed to strike gold with a seriously impressive list of upcoming shows, including showcasing for BigSound Live alongside Twelve Foot Ninja, Closure In Moscow, Heroes For Hire and Your Favorite Enemies at Tempo Hotel on September 12th.

In the last few weeks the band has welcomed new guitarist/vocalist Jed Nadin while lead guitarist Ashley Jackson flew overseas with Melbourne giants Built On Secrets to film during the recording of their new album. Upon returning from just a few weeks break, they were welcomed with news of their selection, from amongst hundreds of applicants, to showcase at this year’s BIGSOUND Live, supporting an international tour for Cartel (USA), traveling to Sydney to play alongside Caulfield, landing a support slot with Dream On Dreamer, Like Moths To Flames (USA), Hand Of Mercy and In Hearts Wake, plus supporting Sound Of Seasons for the Brisbane stop of their national tour!

Also, on the heels of releasing a music video for “It’s Just Business”, which has cracked over 32,000 views in its short time online, Awaken I Am are also releasing a lyric video for “Humble, Not Humbled” on August 15th.
