Ekka People’s Day pops and so much more to come

Wonderful weather, great entertainment and even a visit from the Prime Minister topped off a bumper first week of show and a great turn out at today’s B105 People’s Day. The next three days of Ekka are going to be sensational with plenty to see and lots to do.

RNA Chief Executive Brendan Christou said the first seven days of show had attracted around 300,000 people who had come to enjoy Ekka’s distinct mix of animals, competitions, rides and entertainment.

“There’s still three more fun filled days to go and you don’t want to miss out,” said Mr Christou.

“The new Ekka IgNites 360 night show in particular has been very well received with people returning to watch it night after night.

“We encourage Queenslanders to spend their nights at the Ekka enjoying Ricki-Lee in concert and the famous fireworks and laser display.

“Right up until the last day on Saturday we have the much-anticipated conclusion to the Best in Show dog competition; the awarding of the Champion axeman in the Woodchop; more fashion; more local chef cooking demonstrations and a smorgasbord of family entertainment.”
