The Brisbane chapter of the Sepulnation (if that’s what one calls Sepultura fans collectively) is out in force tonight to catch their heroes at the Hi-Fi in West End.
Best of all for openers In Death, many have shown up early — the venue’s lower level feels cosily fullish even as the local five-piece punch out half a dozen or so of their best at a volume so piercing it almost hurts. Upon the 3rd October release, Davey will embark on a national orbit with a five-date tour, kicking off the supernova in Ballarat presented by the Music and Field Recordings.
Joe Louis Walker has been a blues force since he was a 16-year-old kid playing guitar and backing the best of the best on the stages of his hometown, San Francisco.

There’s something so harmonious about the sound of an organic buzz. The hum of excitement circulating about the new album from Melbourne’s The Peep Tempel is subtle but undeniable. In anticipation of the release of their second album Tales, The Peep Tempel have fed the hungry harmonies with several new tour dates, extended album art from much-admired illustrator Tim Molloy and served up an additional track from the forthcoming release, which is already being met with significant praise…
