A Tribe Called Red have announced they will be heading to Australia to perform for the first time an extensive run of shows throughout the east-coast including headline dates as well as Australian Music Week, The Sydney Opera House’s ‘Homeground’. A Tribe Called Red aims to challenge stereotypes about indigenous people by using video segments taken from pop culture (movies, cartoons) in order to poke fun of the racist imagery. They not only mix tradition with contemporary art via music+video, but also their dancer who mix b-boy style with traditional hoop dancing.

This week, Aesthesis is the feature album on triple j, single ‘While You Wait’ is making itself known on days on Triple M and will be making two TV appearances – they are guest-programming Rage this weekend and on Friday, they will be featured on Channel Nine’s Today Show.
