Calling All Cars release brand new video for ‘Werewolves’

After ripping around the nation delivering blistering live sets and reminding audiences just how rambunctious they can be, Calling All Cars are officially back on the scene and wasting no time making their presence known.

First single, ‘Werewolves’ from their forthcoming album saturated national radio, sitting pretty in triple j’s most played for October. Now, the band are proud to unleash the video, a visual that takes the innuendo suggested in the song and successfully coaxes it to the next level of prowess.

Directed by David Rusanow (The Fumes, Washington, Snakadaktl), the video was visually inspired by the works of contemporary art photographer Bill Henson, particularly his use of skin tones and moody lighting. The result is simultaneously fierce, aggressive and sexual and achieves its ambition of transformation with an animalistic approach perfectly.

With a live show second-to-none, it’s clear they’ve learned a thing or two from their stacked touring history spending time on the road with Queens of the Stone Age, Foo Fighters and AC/DC to name a few. Due for release in the first quarter of 2014, the forthcoming album from Calling All Cars sees the band exploring new sonic territory and it’s clear they’re ready to step things up a gear.

CHARLES BRADLEY – “Victim Of Love” Australian Tour announced for March 2014

Swooping across Australia the Screaming Eagle of Soul, Charles Bradley is back to mesmerise audiences with His Extraordinaires, to celebrate his second album Victim Of Love.

Already a hero and a favourite of Australian audiences, Daptone/Dunham alumni Charles Bradley and his all-star band (comprising of members of The Dap Kings, The Menahan St Band, Budos Band and others) will blow away audiences in both live music clubs and festival settings across the country with their super-charged soul sweetness. Bradley’s remarkable, against-all-odds rise has been well-documented – how he transcended a bleak life on the streets and struggled through a series of ill-fitting jobs – most famously as a James Brown impersonator at Brooklyn clubs – before finally being discovered by Daptone’s Gabe Roth. The year following the release of the incredible long player No Time For Dreaming was one triumph after another: a stunning performance at South By Southwest that earned unanimous raves; similarly-gripping appearances at Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, Newport Folk Festival and Outside Lands (to name just a few); and spots on Year-End Best Lists from Rolling Stone, SPIN, GQ, Paste and more.
