Kings of Leon Set The Town of Mildura on Fire 29th October 2022 Mildura Sporting Complex, Victoria Australia
Mildura, located in rural Victoria, was the venue for Kings of Leon’s opening show on their long-awaited 2022 Australian tour. Over 10,000 people filled the newly opened complex to hear the band, natives from Tennessee. Comprising of brothers Caleb, Jared, Nathan Followill, and their cousin Matthew Followill. The band played a 25-song set that featured songs from their impressive 20-year career and eight-album catalogue.
It took Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats less than five years to become one of the most recognizable new forces in contemporary rock ‘n’ roll. Since 2015, Rateliff has led his denim-clad, horn-flanked Night Sweats, supplying the zeal of a whiskey-chugging Pentecostal preacher to songs about this world’s shared woes.
Beloved pop rock three-piece HOT CHELLE RAE (HCR) finally return Down Under for the 10th Anniversary Tonight Tonight Celebration Tour in March / April 2023.
Having grown up in musically inclined households, the three came of age among the song-writing community in Nashville. Hence the foundation upon which HCR was built all boils down to really good music.
HOT CHELLE RAE – lead vocalist and guitarist Ryan Keith Follese, guitarist Nash Overstreet, drummer Jamie Follese – were always a cut above the average boy band, capitalizing on swoon-worthy lyrics for the younger set and uber-catchy dance anthems for people of any age without shame. Their skills as songsmiths are mirrored by their live performance chops, refined through years with HCR having become known for their incredible musicianship and intoxicating energy on stage.
In 2009 they released their debut album Lovesick Electric, which made people take notice featuring ‘I Like to Dance’ and ‘Bleed’. It was in 2011 that the band really took off with their highly anticipated and hugely successful sophomore album Whatever. The album featured the Triple Platinum ARIA smash hit ‘Tonight Tonight’ and Double Platinum ARIA follow up ‘I Like It Like That’.‘Whatever’, the third single from the album, had a video clip featuring footage shot when they were supporting Taylor Swift during her Australian arena tour.
In 2015 they took a rest from the limelight, focusing on their careers as songwriters.
During this time their individual crafts flourished, inspiring them to join forces once again. Slated with a new batch of A+ tunes and sound indicative of their growth as writers and people, HCR draws on optimistic themes, a general feel-good mentality and snapshots from their personal lives.
HOT CHELLE RAE are now back and are returning to what they love and do best which is performing live to thank their fans for their continuing and endless support
“Hot Chelle Rae came onstage to thunderous applause.” (There Goes The Fear)
“Everyone should go see Hot Chelle Rae live. Make sure you don’t miss their next performance in your town!” (Highlight Magazine)
“They performed with the same energy as they did the first time I saw them” (Highlight Magazine)
Captivating Melbourne indie pop artist, GEORGIA FIELDS has dropped her brand new single In My Blood, the fifth and final taste from her third full length album Hiraeth out November 17. In My Blood is keeping in with Georgia’s hypnotic vibes, dreamy keys, simple percussion and textural sounds with her gorgeous vocal the standout. A song about addiction, trauma and recovery, it’s a steady build with a joyous crescendo.
When Tom Curtain returned to the music scene in 2017, after a 12 year hiatus, he didn’t expect his third album, Territory Time, to shoot to #1 on the iTunes Country Australia chart or his duet with Luke O’Shea, ‘Never Never Land’, to win two Golden Guitars at the 2018 Tamworth Country Music Festival. Since then, the singer-songwriter has been showered with accolades for his true blue, catchy approach to country music. Today he releases his stunning fifth studio album, Nothin’s Gonna Stop Us.
Delivering a maelstrom of diamond-hard riffing wrapped around cinematic melodies, thunderous drumming and towering vocals, ARCH ENEMY are unstoppable and sound incredibly energized and they are headed back to Australia and New Zealand in February 2023.
