Arriving at Barangaroo the place was littered with many hopeful bodies ready to witness the return of the Vans Warped Tour to Australia. Though Barangaroo came off as a little small for such as huge festival, the venue was exceptionally prepared, with easy access to all amenities & better yet a bar area that had a great view of both the main stages.
The Summer Set welcomed everyone on the main stage, hyping the crowd with their energetic pop rock, preparing them for an enthralling day filled with both diverse and unique acts. Some veterans of Australian shows and others approaching our shores for the first time, the day was filled with opportunities to witness great acts and due to thoughtful timetabling, there was little chance of a clash between acts of the same genre.

Of Mice & Men have announced their third studio album Restoring Force will be released on Friday 24 January on Rise Records. The album is the follow up to the band’s 2011’s acclaimed release The Flood, which solidified the California-based five-piece as a leading force in modern heavy music. Restoring Force was recorded at House of Loud in New Jersey and produced by David Bendeth (Paramore, Papa Roach, A Day To Remember, Breaking Benjamin).

Tickets to the 2013 ARIA Awards have SOLD OUT, but fans in Sydney can join in the festivities on the David Jones Black Carpet from 3.00pm on Sunday, December 1 at The Star, Sydney and everyone can watch on GO! from 7.30pm.


This time last year the delightful Hat Fitz and Cara were riding high. They’d toured Europe, receiving great acclaim for their wonderful Wiley Ways album, and had then come home excited for the album’s Australian release and tour. Wiley Ways reached the top of the Australian Blues Charts (it stayed firmly in the charts for 12 months), and received rave reviews all round. To top things off, Hat Fitz & Cara’s shows and festival appearances were attracting large, often sell-out crowds. It seemed that Australia as a whole had finally caught on to the charm, wit and wonderful musicality of the wee lass from Ireland and the big, bushy Queenslander.
Grammy Award winning super-producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins has confirmed he will be in Australia. His first public appearance will be presenting at the 2013 ARIA Awards this Sunday, 01 December 2013.
