Anathema have been at the forefront of the UK rock/metal movement for a long time. As influential pioneers of melodic heavy music, the band’s forward thinking, intellectual musicianship has earned them accolades such as Classic Rock’s 2010 and 2012 Prog Album of the Year (2010’s We’re Here Because We’re Here was mixed by progressive rock mainman Steven Wilson).

Guards of May are keeping the momentum rolling from their previous single release in late 2013 with a brand new single and East Coast tour in April. Recorded predominantly with Matt Bartlem and also with Tyse Lee at Loose Stones Records, the followup to their wildly successful single Numbers, Arcadia, takes things to the next level. The single is out digitally on iTunes, Spotify, Bandcamp and more on Friday March 28, just ahead of their first tour date.

KILLSWITCH ENGAGE’S ‘Alive Or Just Breathing’ album was a watershed moment in metal in 2002 as it heralded the birth of ‘Metalcore’.
