The Gin Club add Brisbane show to February/March tour!

Being just 22-years-old at the time, I was literally learning to write songs as I went, feeling and fledgling my way into this probability cloud that had formed around bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Smashing Pumpkins.

Entertainment! was a rare bird for its time, an enthralling amalgam of punk, funk and angular rock that signalled a changing-of-the-guard ushering in of the post- punk era. Released in 1979, this spiky collection of danceable songs would go on to inspire a generation – stripped of excess flesh, it revealed a twitching skeleton rising against apathy and commodity. The influence of Entertainment! is still being felt in music today. To celebrate 35 years since its release, Gang of Four will perform the entire album in full and all the hits that followed across Australia in 2014.

John Butler Trio Announce National ‘Flesh & Blood’ Tour – March/April 2014

The John Butler Trio recently completed a quick stint of thrilling performances in capital cities selling out small capacity iconic venues around the country as they introduced new tunes and their new drummer, Grant Gerathy. Clutch – 2014 Australian Tour supports announced!

Clutch have announced Melbourne heavy rock outfit Don Fernando as support for their Melbourne show at the Prince (SOLD OUT) and Sydney show at The Metro. While local hard hitters Brisbane The Black Water Fever and Heavy Roller will open proceedings at The Zoo (limited tickets available).

Towards the end of February Clutch will land in Australia for their first shows since the release of their tenth studio album Earth Rocker (2013), which has fast become the most successful album of the bands twenty four year career, featuring heavily in top ten albums of 2013 lists across the globe, including being the number one album in Metal Hammer UK’s top 50 albums of the year.
