ART vs SCIENCE had a pleasant day yesterday when they came in at #74 and #2 in triple j’s Hottest 100 for the songs ‘Friend in The Field’ and ‘Parlez-Vous Francais? respectively. |
The surprise results cap off a mega 2009 (an ARIA nom, J Award, AIR Award, impressive EP sales and what have you) for the Sydney dance-rock three-piece and can possibly be attributed to the band’s numerous show-stopping live performances over the past 12 months.
The band’s compatriots aren’t the only ones to appreciate their hand-raising, party-starting pop songs – influential London indie radio station XFM recently listed them as one of the Top 20 Bands to Watch in 2010: http://www.xfm.co.uk/artists/20-bands-for-2010
