2014 has started extremely well for Vance Joy, coming in at #1 on triple J’s Hottest 100 countdown, making it into the Top 10 of the UK Singles Chart, performing his first Laneway shows and recently announced on the line-up for this year’s Groovin The Moo.
Vance Joy has confirmed a series of capital city shows during April and May. The shows will take Vance to Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, Sydney and Melbourne in between his Groovin The Moo performances.
In additional good news, Vance Joy’s hit single ‘Riptide’ has now been certified 4x platinum by ARIA! (Watch the video clip below) Since it was released last year, love for ‘Riptide’ has steadily grown. In addition to a host of incredible local achievements for the Top 10 single, including Highest Selling Australian Single for 2013 and #2 Most Played Australian Song at radio, international audiences have now jumped aboard the ‘Riptide’ train as well, with an impressive UK Chart and increasing radio airplay in the States.
Having just finished up on the Laneway circuit, Vance Joy is now heading back to the UK and Europe, for sold out headline shows, before embarking on an extensive US jaunt in support of Young The Giant. Along with this, he will also appear at SXSW.
Joining Vance Joy for his Australian tour dates will be Gossling and Teeth & Tongue. Since releasing her debut album Harvest Of Gold last November to critical acclaim, Australia’s love for the Melbourne gal has continued to rise. In demand overseas as well as back home, the coming months will see Gossling touring the globe. Talented Melbourne artist Teeth & Tongue rounds out this impressive line-up, at the request of Vance Joy himself.
Tickets for the Vance Joy’s Australian tour are on-sale Friday February 14.
A pre-sale for subscribers will take place on Thursday February 13.
Vance Joy’s debut album is due for release in the second half the year.
