Gippsland’s local son’s Ocean Sleeper are returning to their roots, locking down dates across regional Victoria, NSW and The ACT to give fans a taste of their time spent with legendary producer Kris Crummett (Sleeping With Sirens, Dance Gavin Dance, Issues).

Starting 2019 at Unify Festival followed by US Fest and then Taiwan’s looming Heartown festival, they shortly landed on sold out shows alongside Dream On Dreamer, The Getaway Plan and Confession. For four kids out of regional Victoria, they’re making sure their sound is felt across the country.

Since their inception in 2016 Ocean Sleeper have hastily made their mark on the Australian Heavy Music landscape. Within the first 6 months they had already been selected to play prestigious alternate music festival Unify, thanks to an overwhelming amount of online support. A daunting task for any band, let alone one with only 1 song out.

It wasn’t until the day of Unify 2017 that they dropped their debut EP, hitting a spectacular #11 in the overall Itunes charts and maintained the #1 Metal chart position for 3 weeks afterwards.

From there the band continued to plant SOLD OUT stickers across their shows, selling out their first headliner at Melbourne’s The Workers Club in four weeks and then months later the Northcote Social Club for their Single Launch. It wasn’t long before Ocean Sleeper became hot property on the support artist market, swiftly landing supports for Stray From The Path, Counterparts, Deez Nuts and Killswitch Engage.
