From playing to thousands of screaming fans whilst supporting hipsters Cobra Starship and Owl City, to skydiving in their underpants whilst live on air for Austereo’s Hot 30: it’s all in a day’s work for Sydney band Amy Meredith. Next on the agenda is finishing off the current Oz tour dates with US stars Stereophonics and then it’s right into a national headline tour of their own with special guests TONIGHT ALIVE! All of this before they’ve even released their debut album, Restless, this coming June!

Amy Meredith are a 5 piece from Sydney’s beachy south, and an outfit who live and breathe music. With a heavy touring agenda set for the next few months, there’s no doubt that fans new and old, young and young at heart will be able to experience the amazing live show up close and personal. Alternatively fans will be hard pressed to miss the unmistakable “Amy” sound on their radios when the new hit single, Lying, takes over the airwaves. Hot on the heels of the first hit single, Pornstar, which reached #1 on the National Hot 30 radio show, Lying is accompanied by the light hearted video clip that premieres on Myspace this evening. At radio, Lying has also been getting great support with the track being in the Top 10 Most Added Songs to radio for the last 2 weeks in a row.

The Lying video was directed by Grammy Award nominated production company, Starchild. Mark Alston created the fun shoot that features the Amy Meredith boys in a deconstructed game show at the mercy of some rather nasty game show hostesses! Both Pornstar and Lying are from the forthcoming debut album, Restless, which is released in Australia this June.
