Giving some extra punch to this farewell excursion, the band are thrilled to announce they’ll be celebrating the ten year anniversary of their hit debut LP ‘United Paper People’ by playing the record in full, alongside other crowd faves. Joining Kisschasy on all dates is an act that generates all the same good-time, glowing feelings that they do: much loved Tassie punk rock guys LUCA BRASI.

10 years ago an unknown band from Perth, Western Australia pooled their very limited resources and questionable facial hair, and got to work on their debut album. Recorded in various spaces, in various ways, with a slightly varying line-up, they borrowed gear, they borrowed money, they borrowed space and they used some tunings that perhaps haven’t been heard again. The band were KARNIVOOL and the album that had so much blood, sweat, tears (and god knows what else) expended on it in those early hours was THEMATA.

NOFX formed in Los Angeles back in 1983, a helluva year for new bands and one that gave birth to Alcatrazz, Trixter, White Lion, and any number of bands that are completely defunct and irrelevant in this day and age. That alone says something about NOFX‘s enduring popularity. Maybe they lasted this long because they were forged in the same fiery furnaces of the L.A. hardcore scene that gave us Bad Religion, Suicidal Tendencies, Germs and Descendents. NOFX sharpened their teeth in that tumultuous talent pool until they joined forces with Epitaph in 1989 and went on to release a string of crucial punk records. Their first major breakthrough came in the form of 1990’s Ribbed, still a fan favorite, followed up by now-classics White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean and Punk in Drublic, the latter selling well over a million copies. That was a wildly successful decade for NOFX as the band popularized the Warped Tour and was the flagship band for the skate/surf/snow culture of the 1990’s.

||Following on from QLD support slots with Texan rockers Spoon and the release of their pyromaniac-friendly film-clip for new single ‘Underground’, Brisbane’s most wayward rock quintet get the second leg of The Underground Tour underway next week.
The Underground Tour takes in a dozen dates from the Sunshine Coast to Melbourne.
It gives audiences the chance to share in the good times that always seem to find the rabble-rousing bunch who are masters of the sharp, short and colourful rock ditty.
Those who like their rock a tad off-kilter, their punk a little clever and their stage antics a lot crazy are encouraged to catch Rocketsmiths as they haphazardly make their way throughout the country, with support on the majority of dates from Melbourne indie-power-popsters Red Ink.

Interview: Brodie Ann-Wright of Felinedown – uncharTED Live
Author: Denis Semchenko
Q: How did Felinedown’s involvement in uncharTED begin?
Brodie-Ann: Firstly, we uploaded some songs and that’s how it started – I think we made it into the Top 30 just after putting our songs up, and we were a really new band, so we were very excited. Also, when they were looking for bands for Live & Local, we were really keen to be involved and play among other really good local acts in front of a fresh audience – people who’ve never seen us play before.
Q: How did Felinedown meet and form?
B-A: I had a few songs written with my writing partner Kit [Sivyer, Felinedown’s ex-bassist], and before that I was in theatre and burlesque. We got Glen [Gattenhof], the guitarist,
