CAMPFIRE FESTIVAL 2014 First Artist Announcement

campfireThe New South Wales Hunter Valley’s renowned HOPE ESTATE winery is excited to announce the first musical artists to be confirmed for the inaugural CAMPFIRE FESTIVAL to be held at the winery from Friday, 13 March to Sunday, 15 March, 2015.

The first lineup of artists confirmed for the 2015 CAMPFIRE FESTIVAL includes:

John Butler Trio
Lee Kernaghan / Kasey Chambers
Ash Grunwald / Beccy Cole / The McClymonts
Wendy Matthews / We Two Thieves / Greg Champion
Amber Lawrence / The Bob Corbett Band / Chelsea Basham and more to be announced soon!

The CAMPFIRE FESTIVAL, with music at its heart and soul, is a three-day smorgasbord of entertainment offering a diverse range of activities, plus a wider variety of food options and experiences including craft beer demonstrations from the new onsite microbrewery, indigenous dance and morning yoga to name but a few.

CAMPFIRE FESTIVAL’s ethos is to bring people together to spend quality time with family and friends, while having the opportunity to do as much (or as little) as you please, including a new luxury camping option with HOPE ESTATE’s beautiful vineyard setting as the backdrop.

The CAMPFIRE FESTIVAL will host a number of entertainment precincts including the main amphitheatre which will feature two stages – the main stage playing host to a line-up of established Australian stars and a 2nd stage showcasing emerging and well-known artists.

HOPE ESTATE has become one of Australia’s most sought-after concert destinations in recent years and the venue regularly hosts up to 20,000 fans in its amphitheatre, with the likes of Bruce Springsteen playing two nights in February this year and The Rolling Stones, Sting and Paul Simon and The Eagles booked in for the coming season.

“All the major promoters now view Hope Estate as world-class venue capable of hosting and delivering world-class shows. It’s a testament not just to our own people, but the whole Hunter event community that pitches in to show visitors a great time and unforgettable experience,” said HOPE ESTATE’s Michael Hope.

CAMPFIRE FESTIVAL will also be giving ten musical artists the opportunity to perform on the amphitheatre’s second stage and in the Campfire Zone to be chosen via an online vote giving up-and-coming performers a chance to shine in front of a big audience. Further details, terms and conditions of this exciting initiative will be listed on www.campfirefestival.com.au.

Early Bird tickets to the inaugural CAMPFIRE FESTIVAL will be available from 9am, Thursday 16 October through Ticketek or the Winery direct on 1800 777 444. Early Bird tickets provide a discount 3-day ticket for all purchases made on or prior to 1 December 2014.

The CAMPFIRE FESTIVAL is more than just a name – there will be an actual Campfire! In addition to the main arena/amphitheatre, the lakeside Campfire Zone will be filled with artisan markets, exhibitions and demonstrations by day, then each night activities will continue around the campfire with musical performances and indigenous dancing. Indigenous culture will be a special feature of the Campfire Zone with art, dance, music and bush tucker cooking demonstrations.

There’s also the FunZone which is sure to keep both the young and young-at-heart entertained as well as the Busker’s Pavilion providing yet another entertainment option along with the opportunity to discover fresh, local talent.

HOPE ESTATE’s Camper’s Bar will host songwriter’s sessions, guitar clinics, Artist Q&A forums and jam sessions each day along with late night entertainment for our campers. The Camper’s Bar will run each night for three hours after the main stage finishes (don’t worry it’s far enough away from the campsites so won’t disturb the sleepyheads getting a head start for the next day).

Naturally, with a winery and craft brewery on-site there’ll be plenty to drink and even a craft beer experience available for the connoisseurs.

On site camping is available for up to 5,000 people with standard camping and powered sites available, or why not “glamp it up” in the new 5 star Lakeside Flashcamp. There will be plenty of showers and toilets available throughout each of the camping zones as well as portable toilets throughout the site and the main buildings.

For those who want the ultimate experience, HOPE ESTATE is providing VIP hospitality packages. Choose the indulgent Harvest Package on the top floor of the building or the more casual VIP area – both overlook the main arena so you will see and hear everything from these private areas. Or, perhaps a gourmet hamper for two is more your style so you can just sit, listen and soak up the atmosphere. For full details of each of the packages available, please go to www.campfirefestival.com.au.

Early Bird Tickets are on sale NOW from Ticketek or Hope Estate from 9.00am, Thursday, 16 October 2014.
