Son of the late maestro and two-time Grammy Award-winner Ali Farka Toure, Vieux’s music heralds a new generation of Malian desert blues. A gifted guitarist, singer, songwriter and percussionist, Vieux has reinvented the fusion music his father created—bringing funk, reggae, and jam music to the desert-blues genre and carrying this new sound worldwide.

Utterly astonishing live, Vieux Farka Toure, is coming to Sydney for one show only – Tuesday March 12 at The Basement. He’ll be performing with his band Aly Magassa (Rhythm Guitar), Eric Herman (Bass) and Tim Keiper (Drums).
