THE LAMPLIGHTS Release Second Album “What Love Is”

THE LAMPLIGHTS are a 5 piece band from the Gold Coast.
They are masters of their instruments and they have a message to share with you.

THE LAMPLIGHTS live to play music and you can find them most weekends plying their trade at unconventional venues all over South East Queensland. This approach saw them sell over 6,000 copies of their debut self-titled album without any traditional distribution. They also walked away with wins in three categories at the Australian Songwriters Association Awards, a first in its 32 year history.

“What Love Is” is the title and heart of their second album that was recorded in Byron Bay with Paul Pilseniks (Powderfinger/Angus Stone) and truly captures them finding their unique voice creatively. It’s an album that is as uplifting in it’s message as it is stunning in it’s virtuosity.

Initial industry feedback has been incredibly positive including an introductory spin by Sarah Howells on Triple J’s Roots and all program. THE LAMPLIGHTS are mighty proud of this album and are putting a team together to have a proper crack at having a career Nationally and Internationally. They will no doubt continue on their unconventional path of sharing the love, but in 2013 you can expect to have more opportunity to cross their paths far beyond their South East Queensland roots.

For the rest of 2012, it is time to say thank you to their home-town crowds.
