In support of the release of their Blue EP, indie dance trio RüFüS are taking their live show around the country for their biggest tour yet. This August the boys will stop at all major cities, bringing with them burgeoning electronic-pop artist Elizabeth Rose.
Their ‘This Summer’ tour earlier this year saw the band play to packed venues around the country, including sold out crowds in Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle and Canberra. The Sydney trio have also captured the attention from their peers and industry, earning support duties for Royksøpp, Yuksek, the Aston Shuffle and Van She. RUFUS were also busy over summer playing Parklife, Homebake, Peats Ridge, Field Day, Harbour Party and the Boiler Room at Sydney’s Big Day Out.
Focus tracks from the recently released BLUE EP have garnered national and international success, offering up further accolades including the first single landing high rotation on triple j. Abroad, their track ‘Talk to Me’ was picked up by French tastemaking label Kitsuné who featured the track on their Soleil Mix Compilation, released globally on July 2nd. The EP clinched the No.5 spot on the iTunes dance chart upon release, garnering major hype from within the blogosphere.
July 16 sees the release of the ‘This Summer/Selena’ remix EP on Jerry Bouthier’s Continental Recordings label out of France, and will see remixes from a swag of Australian dance up-and-comers including Parachute Youth, Frames, Lancelot, Softwar and a much deeper take on ‘This Summer’ from RUFUS themselves.
Following their EP tour, RUFUS will submerse themselves in writing and recording on the NSW south coast for an album to be released in 2013.
Catch RUFUS before they go into to hibernation!
