Passion Pit are on their way to Australia this month and are very happy to announce their local supports.
Sydney’s PVT, sonic innovators of genre-bending guitar music who have been turning heads worldwide since the release of 2010’s Church With No Magic, will be supporting Passion Pit at their Australian shows.
“Don’t Miss: PVT. Experimental rock aficionados rejoice!” – NME
Their latest album Homosapien, released early 2013, again garnered widespread attention, with Pitchfork stating that it “sounds remarkably like a collision between the Postal Service and the Knife.”
NZ local electronic duo PleasePlease will open proceedings in Auckland.
As well as headline shows in Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, Passion Pit will be performing at the SOLD OUT Splendour In The Grass and Adelaide’s Spin Off Festival.
Since the release of Gossamer in 2012, Passion Pit have been on a non-stop path to global domination.
Here’s what they’ve been up to since last gracing our shores:
– Performed to MASSIVE crowds at Bonnaroo Music Festival, Lollapalooza Chicago, Chile & Brazil, Outside Lands and were one of the most talked about bands at Coachella 2013
– SOLD OUT Madison Square Garden and still filled the venue on the day of the NY blizzard
– Saturday Night Live appearance, October 2012 – Watch ‘Take A Walk’ live …
– Headlined the Hollywood Bowl and played The Governor’s Ball, NYC
