The Waterboys will be joined by Australia’s Oh Mercy at the Sydney Opera House and Melbourne’s Hamer Hall shows.
Earlier this year Oh Mercy delivered their stellar third album ‘Deep Heat’ (through Capitol/EMI), following previous releases ‘Great Barrier Grief’ and ‘Privileged Woes’. ‘Deep Heat’ drew critical acclaim, garnering an EG Music Award nomination, adding to the Oh Mercy’s 2011 ARIA nomination.
Featuring ‘My Man’, ‘Drums’ and ‘Pilgrim’s Blues’, the album is described as: “modern, forward-thinking pop; a colourful mix of styles all held together by a singular groove”, proving a perfect fit to open The Waterboys’ forthcoming Sydney and Melbourne shows.
