The Beatles rehearsing “Hey Jude” at Abbey Road in 1968 (rare video session)


This video shows a rare recording session in 1968, when the Beatles were rehearsing “Hey Jude”.

The Beatles recorded 25 takes of “Hey Jude” at Abbey Road Studios in two nights, 29 and 30 July 1968. These were mostly rehearsals. The master rhythm track was recorded on 31 July at Trident Studios to utilise their eight-track recording machine.

LEONARD COHEN returning to Australia & New Zealand this summer!

The Frontier Touring Company has confirmed the return of critically acclaimed music legend Leonard Cohen to Australia and New Zealand for a series of enigmatic performances throughout November and December.

Cohen – along with his incredible nine piece band featuring the likes of Sharon Robinson, the infamous Webb Sisters and musical director Roscoe Beck – will be performing to audiences across Australia’s major cities as well as performances in regional towns Cairns, Townsville and Wollongong. Australians will also be treated to two very special a day on the green performances at Hunter Valley’s Bimbadgen Winery (NSW) and Geelong’s The Hill Winery (VIC).
