It’s been all go for HUNGRY KIDS OF HUNGARY in 2013 so far, since the release of their critically-acclaimed second album You’re A Shadow. The touring five-piece themselves, currently at the absolute peak of their powers on stage, have smashed nothing but home runs during their massive album headline tour as well as the just-wrapped Groovin the Moo Tour and, now, straight to the UK for The Great Escape and a UK tour.This comes on the back of an incredible album campaign that has seen the album receive nothing but glowing reviews (see highlights below), a much-talked about cover of Tame Impala’s Feels Like We Only Go Backwards for triple j’s Like A Version, an appearance on Channel Ten’s Late News, Channel [V] rotation for Sharp Shooter and a Ripe Clip of the Week for Twin Cities. Most recently, Urthboy and Count Bounce remixed latest single When Yesterday’s Gone for a Record Store Day mixtape release – the surprise pairing proved the perfect match, showcasing the powerhouse talent and versatility of both artists.
The band and management have just hit the ground in the UK for their second appearance at Brighton’s The Great Escape as well as a UK tour on the back of their recent single release ‘Sharp Shooter’ / ‘Twin Cities’ and will be in the country from Wednesday May 15 until Friday May 24 2013.
