Brisbane psychedelic pop and electro funk outfit SEALS launch their new EP ‘Castaways’ at The Zoo on Friday June 17. The show will also be a send off, marking their departure for a 15 date tour of the UK; taking in 13 cities and the London Tube.
Having evolved from The Baby Seal Club in early 2011, SEALS have sensed a growing understanding of their unique musical style, with the crowds building steadily at their shows. |
The first few months of the year saw the band hitting the road and touring relentlessly – honing their skills to record their latest release ‘Castaways’. During this time their music was featured on One HD as part of the Quiksilver Pro surfing competition and also in the Red Cross Blood Bank’s ‘Pull Up Your Sleeves’ youth campaign.
Now, with the EP ready for release and the UK tour approaching fast, all eyes are on their farewell show. SEALS will be joined by an exciting line up of Brisbane bands:
Tin Can Radio, The Jungle Giants and Moses Gunn Collective, with Charlie Mayfair DJs spinning indie classics on the decks.
‘Castaways’ is an independent release, which will be available at gigs, independent record stores and on iTunes.
