Due to the large amount of rain over the last week and the upcoming forecast, we have made the hard discussion to postpone the festival and use our reschedule date, Saturday 25th August.
The inaugural Home Festival at Raymond Park, Kangaroo Point, will be the community’s ‘home’ for a day. Guests will feel the power of a place where you are included, safe, and welcome to join in with a wealth of creative energy.
Settle into the Pineapple Lounge or check out the Shed for live music including local talents of gypsy outfit Greshka and the gorgeous guitars of The Deckchairs, with many more performers yet to be announced. Enjoy a beer, wine or sip on the famous champine in the lounge bar area.
Visit the Kitchen for delicious, healthy food from local vendors. Dive into the Garage Sale for a monster Suitcase Rummage. Children are welcome to build a cubby in the Backyard, with materials supplied by Reverse Garbage. And finally, sit back as the sun goes down for a free outdoor screening of The Castle – the quintessential Aussie story of home.
This is the opportunity to celebrate a housewarming on a massive scale, a springboard to connections, fun, confidence, humour and a stronger belief that we live in a healthy, positive community. Welcome Home!
