Winners: Energex Race Around Ekka School Film Competition
The winning film from one of the Ekka’s favourite educational competitions has been awarded to Stretton State College for the senior teams and Indooroopilly State High School for the junior teams. This competition had film buffs madly dashing around the Brisbane Showgrounds to capture the sights and sounds of Ekka to produce a polished ad which was judged by industry experts. Secondary students were given 24 hours to plan, direct and shoot a 15 or 30 second television ad for the Ekka, with the slogan ‘Get a buzz from the Ekka, not electricity. Look up and live.’ The winning two films have won their schools $3,000, while another $600 is up for grabs for the People’s Choice Award which will be announced today once voting closes on the Ekka Facebook Page.
