Sam Clark’s debut single ‘Broken’ holds #1 spot

Sam Clark   Sam Clark’s debut single ‘Broken’ has maintained the #1 spot on the ARIA Physical sales chart this week and climbed to #11 position on the ARIA Australian Artists Chart, pushing him into the ARIA chart Top 40 combined singles chart this week, sitting at #39.

Since joining Neighbours in 2006 as ‘Ringo Brown’ Sam Clark has become one of the most loved and recognizable characters on the long-running show. But whilst acting is a great passion of Sam’s, his first love is music, and Sam is thrilled to have finally released his debut single ‘Broken’.

In its sixth year running The JB Seed, will be re-branded The Seed. Encouraged by the amazing generosity and trust people have shown the project, this shift will make The Seed an initiative whose ownership is that of the entire community of contributors.

The Seed has evolved over the years to become an integral part of the Australian Arts & Music industry, contributing over $533,000 worth of funding to over 200 Artists and Music Managers. The passion and support of all contributors has helped to make it what it is today and although John Butler and co-founder Danielle Caruana will remain a driving force behind the project, they believe it is time to make The Seed something that the arts community can call their own.

Daniel Kitson returns to Brisbane Powerhouse with a new theatrical work of love, heart-ache and a forsaken flat.“Last September I had to move out of my flat after living there for almost six years. I didn’t want to. I lived alone. I am single. 66a Church Road was the longest relationship of my life. This is a break up show. For my flat.” Daniel Kitson, May 2008. Astonishing images of crumbling beauty and battered grandeur will emerge from time beaten suitcases, telling a funny, sad and truly nostalgic story of a forsaken flat, a broken heart and the ache for home.

The Nikon-Walkley Photographic Awards recognise the invaluable contribution of press photography to the Australian news media. From capturing split-second sights to documenting people, places and communities over time: press photographers chronicle the world around us. Every year more than 1000 photographs are judged for selection in the awards. The exhibition will showcase more than 100 works by Australia’s best photojournalists shortlisted for the Awards. Tragedy and triumph, elation and devastation: this exhibition shows the big moments of the year in news.
