Tim Fitz burst onto Sydney’s music scene in 2011 with two self-produced EPs that won him the hearts of Sydney radio institution FBi radio, and the attention of a slew of Australian and international music blogs. His third EP – 2013’s Unscene – saw Tim deliver an ecclectic string of twisted pop tracks, which received nods from triple j’s Home & Hosed and Unearthed, and a loyal following of live-loop enthusiasts.

Now, Tim Fitz has delivered ‘Sour’ – the leading single from a new EP to be released later this year. Tim, on the track:

“This was a song I recorded for all the people who feel they’re falling behind, to remind them that so much the success we see in people around us is a front for a much more vulnerable reality that we all share. Everyone is a battler and sometimes what works for other people doesn’t work for you. It’s also about that moment when you realise you’re 24 and Kings Cross on a Friday night almost completely unappealing.”

A finalist in FBi Radio’s Northern Lights competition, and featured on many international websites such as The Guardian (UK), it is no surprise that Tim has been invited to share his exciting multi-instrumental live show on stages with the likes of Oh Mercy, Flume, Oscar Key Sung, Matt Corby and Elizabeth Rose.

‘Sour’ will be officially released independently on Thursday 24th July.
