On Saturday 20 June the Company will perform a one-off Grand Gala. Performed by the étoiles and premier danseurs of the company the programme for this extraordinary evening will not only showcase the talents of the participating dancers but also provide a sampler of the company’s remarkable repertoire, featuring highlights from ballets by Serge Lifar, George Balanchine, Maurice Bejart, Jiří Kylián and Roland Petit.

From Wednesday 24 June to Saturday 4 July the Company, accompanied by The Queensland Orchestra, will present the Australian premiere of Rudolf Nureyev’s spectacular production of La Bayadère. One of the grandest and most spectacular stagings in the company’s repertoire, this is theatre that will thrill audiences with a quality never before seen in Brisbane. The production, which has been augmented by dancers from Brisbane, is huge and magnificent, and fills every crevice of the vast QPAC Lyric stage.

Presented by the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, this historic performance of La Bayadère would not have been possible without the magnificent and generous support of the Queensland Events Corporation.
