The Church “So Love May Find Us” Tour @ The Zoo, Brisbane 14 March 2009 + more


The Church return in 2009 with a new album, a soundtrack, 2 EP’s on their own label and selected dates on the East coast.

In January the band released the “Shriek: Excerpts From The Soundtrack” on their own Unorthodox Records in partnership with Wyrm publishing and noted American science fiction writer Jeff VanderMeer.

In February the band release “The Coffee Hounds EP”. Exclusive vocal and instrumental versions of “The Coffee Song” as well as taking on the Kate Bush classic “Hounds Of Love”.

The Gin Club Tour : The Zoo, Brisbane 21 March 2009 + more

THE GIN CLUB TOUR EAST COAST – MARCH/APRIL 2009

Inimitable Alt-country rock troupe The Gin Club are embarking on an East Coast tour of Australia in March and April, before heading off to Europe to tour and continue recording the follow up to their epic 2-disc 2008 release Junk.   theginclubpromo

Junk was received with critical and public acclaim, reaching the top 10 on the AIR charts and granting the eclectic Brisbane-based band accolades including ‘Best Rock Song, ‘Best Folk Ballad’ and ‘Song of the Year’ at “Q Song” – Queensland Music Industry Awards in 2008.
Now, on the back of a successful string of 2008 gigs both here and in the US (including appearances at Musicexpo (LA), Gympie Music Muster, Woodford Folk Festival and The Big Day Out), The Gin Club are ready to hit the road, complete with brand new songs to unleash on anticipative audiences.

TZU - Open Arms Festival @ Coffs Harbour - November 2008 It’s been a magical past year for Melbourne’s hip-hop maestros TZU. Their Computer Love album stormed the ARIA Top 25, was nominated for the prestigious J Award (JJJ’s Album of the Year) and widely lauded by reviewers and fans alike. Throw in two sold out national tours and slots at a bevy of the country’s finest festivals, including crowning performances at the Falls and Big Day Out, and it was clearly a year to behold. Ben Kweller @ The Zoo, Brisbane 9th April 2009

Ben Kweller returns to tour Australia in April in support of his new album Changing Horses, released through Shock Records.

The album is his fourth full-length and was produced by Kweller and recorded mostly in Austin, TX, where he and his family recently re-located.

The title is meaningful as it represents a sea change for the 27-year-old Texan-bred musician. Beginning with his first record, Sha Sha, released in 2002, Kweller’s albums have always been stylistically restless, moving from indie rock to ballads to anti-folk to melodic rock, often from song to song.
