The Smith Street Band Announce Huge Australian Tour!

Last week The Smith Street Band announced the first round of artist for the inaugural Pool House Party and today the band announce they are also heading off around the country on their first headline tour in nearly a year. It is their biggest and furthest reaching tour yet, taking in every state and territory of Australia and will include a bunch of all ages and under 18 only shows.

Deer Tick Announce Australian Headline Shows In March

After the announcement their headline appearance at Victoria’s favourite boutique festival, Boogie, and opening slots for Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, the hell-raising rockers Deer Tick are coming back to Australia to play headline shows in , BRISBANE, SYDNEY and MELBOURNE for the first time since 2013. On their last visit to Australia John McCauley told The Music Magazine – “I mean we always try to put on a good show, and when we don’t we generally feel pretty bad about it. But I think seeing us live makes our records make a little bit more sense. There’s not a lot of bands around now that do what we do, which is anything that we fucking want”

Thirsty Merc started the day with a set that included crowd favourites “Summertime”, “20 Good Reasons” and “Someday, Someday”. Lead singer Rai Thistlethwayte and the boys were in fine form even introducing the Cold Chisel, Phil Small penned hit “My Baby” into their set.
