Apes to release ‘Pull The Trigger’ + Announce Launch Dates

apestpurMelbourne rock upstarts APES are about to release their ridiculously charismatic new single ‘Pull The Trigger’, and have just announced two single launch shows plus a BIGSOUND appearance. Busy, busy boys.

Concentrating this past twelve months on solidifying their fanbase and tailoring their sound, Apes are the archetype of a young act with a bright future ahead of them. Heavy triple j and BBC radio support has seen their star rise rapidly, as have impressive showings on the Big Day Out and Groovin’ The Moo stages, plus dates with Kingswood, Stonefield, The Love Junkies, Fidlar and Royal Blood. They’re currently catching their breath after tearing it up on tour with Band Of Skulls. Next stop is Sydney and Melbourne single launches in August, both tiny club shows that will no doubt sell fast and result in much beer spilt and many hands in the air, followed by a coveted spot on the live program at BIGSOUND 2014. Brash and tight, Apes’ live show will do them many favours as the band continue to work their way into the popular favour.

Distant Satellites – AnathemaSixty minutes of floating on beautiful melodies, intense emotion and powerful composition can be yours when you decide to listen to Distant SatellitesAnathema’s 10th studio album. This UK progressive rock band have carved their own unique blend of uplifting yet contemplative music that continues to inspire and attract new fans around the world. Their style has grown to embrace new influences while never really straying far from original inspirational sources such as Pink Floyd.

Distant Satellites features ten beautifully crafted songs that explore a range of states of being and experiences using sublime instrumentation, harmonies and vibrant vocals. The song’s transition well from one to another, providing continuity and an extremely pleasurable listening hour.

ox promoEzekiel Ox has never been one to mince his words. From an early age, he learnt that when we see injustice, we point it out, and fight it. He is not a man on the sidelines. Ox fights through his music and poetry but also through his actions on the street as a busker and activist and a voice in and for the community and country he lives in.

Every musical project he has fronted, has acted as a vehicle for protest lyrics and used as a platform to inform and incite. His solo music career so far has been short, but no different.
