There are moments in almost every Jeff Lang gig which absolutely grab you in the guts. Often it’s while the “disturbed folk” progenitor is wrangling an impossible guitar lick to within an inch of its life; sometimes it’s when he’s fiercely locking into a groove with his long-term collaborator Danny McKenna and sailing on the precipice; others it’s when the starkly rich lyrics arrests you in your tracks.

LORDE sells out Festival Hall date on eve of Australian tour

Frontier Touring have announced that Lorde’s first date at Melbourne’s Festival Hall has sold out. There are only a few tickets remaining to both Hordern Pavillion shows and all others are selling fast.
The recipient of the APRA Award for Outstanding International Achievement has been attracting rave reviews for her recent European and US tour, while the accolades (Grammys, Billboard Awards, Silver Scolls) for her multi-million selling debut and singles continue to roll in. Brisbane’s hardcore champs, Bound for Ruin are taking one last run around the country with their brand new single, From Victim to Villain. Releasing the track as a single, signals the last release from their album “Oblivion” before they move into new album recording phase. The boys are taking the opportunity to do one great big last hurrah to the album for the fans and then are going to bunker down putting all of their effort into a new slab of their melodic hardcore for release in 2015.
They are taking the single all around the country, taking in QLD, NSW, VIC, SA and WA in a round-the-country run that would usually test the mettle (metal?) of many a band.
