Live Review | Groovin The Moo 2014 | Canberra

Again comes that time of year where a mixture of locals and people from out of the state come together for a chilly day of good music at Groovin The Moo 2014 held at The University of Canberra. There was a clear distinction of who was a local and who wasn’t based on the apparel worn to combat the weather. Though, despite where you came from, the festival provided enough musical diversity to satisfy anyone’s quota for the day.
To start the day, Sweet Shoppe opened with a short but tenderising set that did intrigue many festival goers as they started their day. With a hypoactive sounds that sports a gifted female vocalist, the set was a great representation of the local talent coming from Canberra. It is always encouraging when locals make the effort to come out and support the band they enjoy at the start of the day.

VANCE JOY announces Groovin The Moo sideshows
2014 has started extremely well for Vance Joy, coming in at #1 on triple J’s Hottest 100 countdown, making it into the Top 10 of the UK Singles Chart, performing his first Laneway shows and recently announced on the line-up for this year’s Groovin The Moo.
Vance Joy has confirmed a series of capital city shows during April and May. The shows will take Vance to Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, Sydney and Melbourne in between his Groovin The Moo performances.

DATAROCK Australian Tour – May 2011 [Tour News]
Norway’s red tracksuit party masters Datarock are excited to announce they will be returning to Australia in May for Groovin’ the Moo and will be partying it up with special headline shows along the east coast.
Datarock will be performing at The Zoo in Brisbane 4th May, Oxford Art Factory in Sydney 5th May and East Brunswick Club in Melbourne 12th May. |

The much-loved GTM recipe of taking a tasty selection of the most memorable, talented and exciting national and International artists to regional Australia and the Nations capital for five value-packed shows returns in AprilMay 2011. The program features acts to satisfy all palates and is guaranteed to have everyone dancing, rocking and jumping around from gates open to lights out. Once more, music lovers from major cities, regional centres and small country towns will meet, party and fall in love at their local GTM.
The GTM path becomes more entrenched each year, forged by the wonderfully energetic and dedicated audience that make the annual return to Bendigo (30 April), Townsville (1 May), Maitland (7 May), Canberra (8 May) and Bunbury (14 May).
GTM is one of the most accessible and best value days on the calendar.
Featuring over eleven hours of exciting acts, as well as improved and expanded facilities, this licensed all ages (recommended 16+) event will feature the return of the impressive double outdoor stages as well as the mighty Moolin Rouge dance tent.
