What a perfect night for Melbourne’s share of the “Live” reunion.
Live supported by Lifehouse and The Calling – 17th November 2017 – Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Melbourne Victoria.

Melbourne turned on the weather for show two of Live’s Australian Reunion Tour on Friday night. under a perfect sunset, the band who most music lovers believed would never play together again, did just that and entertained a 7,000 crowd with passion and perfection. Melbourne was the second of only three shows in Australia for this tour.

TOUR UPDATE: ED KOWALCZYK – Brisbane & 2nd Sydney Shows Added – ‘I Alone Acoustic Tour’ 2014

edAfter selling out the previously announced Australian shows and adding an extra show in Sydney, ED KOWALCZYK will extend the ‘I Alone Acoustic Tour’ this November to include Brisbane due to the overwhelming demand from his dedicated Queensland fans.

The legendary songwriter and former lead-singer of the multi-platinum rock band, Live, Ed will perform a set of breathtaking solo-acoustic headline shows, now kicking off at The Tivoli in Brisbane on November 5.

Tickets for this show go on sale at 10am Friday, October 17 and are strictly limited.

Live Review: Ed Kowalczyk @ Enmore Theatre, Sydney – February 11, 2014

Ed KowalczykWalking up Enmore Road to the venue, thinking about the 20 or more years since the two massive Live albums had left their mark on adult, contemporary rock music, and noting the ticket prices, there was a thought that this might be a somewhat “intimate” show – shows how switched on I must be – the Enmore was packed at 8.30pm enjoying the solo guitar ballads of Anita Lester from Lester The Fierce.

A fairly minimalist stage and lighting set up, and a roar as the house lights dimmed and the intro kicked in… and the band strolled onto the stage and kicked in to the Throwing Copper album in track order… from “The Dam at Otter Creek” all the way through to “Horse/Untitled”. Ed Kowalczyk picked up a guitar for “Selling the Drama” and the huge “I Alone”, before leading the first of many crowd sing-alongs with “Lightning Crashes”.

Ed Kowalczyk ‘Throwing Copper’ 20th Anniversary Australian Tour – February 2014

EdTravel through the career of American rock royalty, ED KOWALCZYK, as he pays tribute to the hits of his past – as the driving force of multi-platinum band Live – through to his solo career including the forthcoming album ‘The Flood and The Mercy’ featuring current single ‘Seven’ (out September 27 through Sony Music Australia).

“I wrote the songs for ‘Throwing Copper’ in a state of mind that was at once empty of any and all expectations, yet full of the potential and possibility that marked the ‘90s music scene in America. Being just 22-years-old at the time, I was literally learning to write songs as I went, feeling and fledgling my way into this probability cloud that had formed around bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Smashing Pumpkins.
