After a highly successful 26-date album release tour, Sydney rockers GANG OF YOUTHS are set to embark on their most ambitious run of shows to date, announcing a national Australian headline tour for April 2016.
Known as the Original Voice of SKID ROW, SEBASTIAN BACH is one of the finest front men to come out of the late 80’s / early 90’s with one hell of a voice; he is considered musical royalty and a personification of pure rock and roll at its finest!
For the first time since 2008, Bach will be returning to Australian shores as well as his very first headlining shows ever in New Zealand in September 2015!
Hailing from Oakland, California, Machine Head are one of the biggest names in Metal. Every worthwhile musical subculture needs its heroes and Machine Head have been just that for the past 20 years. Starting with the earth-shattering prescience of 1994’s “Burn My Eyes” and continuing up to 2014’s “Bloodstone & Diamonds”, they have constantly redefined the very notion of heaviness and are one of the few in modern times that can boast an unbreakable connection with the hearts and minds of the metal faithful.
Now Machine Head are bringing their phenomenal live performance to Australia, on a headline run all across the country. It is sure to be one of the best shows ever to come Down Under!
Metropolis Touring have announced the return of legendary rockers URIAH HEEP to Australia. Considered one of the ‘Big Four’ pioneers of hard rock and heavy metal in the late ‘60’s and early ‘70’s along with BLACK SABBATH, DEEP PURPLE & LED ZEPPELIN – URIAH HEEP still enjoy legendary status.
URIAH HEEP’s unique, progressive, hard sound has made them a mainstay of the rock circuit for four decades. Famed for their accomplished musical talents, diverse song writing and powerful live performances, the band has released some of the most popular and defining music of their genre. With a catalogue of 23 studio albums that includes ‘Demons and Wizards’ (1972), ‘Abominog’ (1982), and their most recent release, 2011’s ‘Into The Wild’ (their highest charting album since the ‘70’s) it’s no surprise that the band has sold over 40 million records worldwide.
In June 2014, one of Australia’s finest and most-loved bands Augie March announced their return from a six-year hiatus. This very welcome news was swiftly followed by the announcement that the band had quietly been creating a fifth studio album, Havens Dumb, in Hobart and Melbourne over the preceding three years. The band’s return to the live stage came in the form of playing at Howler, a few streets away from the scene of their first-ever show sixteen years earlier, in Brunswick Victoria. They ended up doing five nights in a row by popular demand. It was indeed a triumphant return, with the band in best-ever form, playing better than ever, and enjoying themselves for the first time in a long time.
With Brisbane selling out in under a day we are thrilled to announce that the Sydney show has now sold out as well! Never one for resting on their laurels, A Day To Remember will now be playing a second and definitely FINAL Sydney show on Saturday 14 May at the Big Top, Luna Park.
|The ability to evolve and push boundaries has never been more important than it is now. While the mainstream becomes safer, the dynamic, genre-bending acts are driven underground, to be discovered by a whole new generation of music fans not content with the identikit bands pushed at them through the major media. It is this hallowed place that A DAY TO REMEMBER has not-so-subtly taken over, from stereos to mosh pits across the world.|
