KOLBY COOPER
THE BOY FROM ANDERSON COUNTY – EP
Released – August 2021
BBR MUSIC GROUP

Only three years out of high school, still living in his small East Texas hometown, twenty-one year old Kolby Cooper started selling out shows and clocking millions of streams using only his songs as muscle, earning streaming numbers typically reserved for household names. Amassing over 120 million on-demand streams to date, Cooper’s first EP as a signed artist, Boy From Anderson County, is out now via BBR Music Group / Wheelhouse Records in partnership with Combustion Music.

The scorching six-pack of tracks is doused in Kolby’s signature wailing guitar riffs, rough-hewn vocals full of conviction, flaming high-energy instrumentals and overly relatable lyrics from his rebel-rooted Lonestar State background.

HOPE FOR THE HOPELESS

Founded back in the pre-COVID era in South London, Last Of The Misfit Heroes are a three-piece alt-rock / rock / punk band with a bit of swagger and a whole heap of attitude.

They released a 4-track EP in April 2020, and through the whole pandemic era have worked on this full-length record, Hope For The Hopeless, which includes the four tracks from the EP and 6 new songs – in much the same vein.

CORY MARKS – NASHVILLE MORNINGS EP
Better Noise Music

Mixing the twang of country music with the hard-hitting stomp of rock & roll, Canada’s Cory Marks made his debut with the July 2020 album Who I Am.

Full of autobiographical storytelling, guitar-driven anthems, party-drinking songs, and breakup ballads, the album is rooted in the influence of his hometown in Ontario.  Whenever he wasn’t drumming along to songs by Deep Purple, Ozzy Osbourne, and Rush, he was listening to his parents’ country records, developing a deep appreciation for outlaws like Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard.

NEW WAVE OF CLASSIC ROCKVOLUME ONE
Released – 23rd July 2021

The NWOCR group was set up in Oct 2017 by a bunch of like-minded music lovers in the UK who felt at the time there were many new bands coming through playing new music influenced by the classic rock bands of the 70’s, 80’s,90’s and noughties, and many of them deserved a wider audience.

The timeline for bands to be featured in the group is that they have not released anything before 2010.

THE LOST SEARCH PARTY
EP – AN INVITATION TO….
Released – May 28th 2021

In keeping with so many bands over the last year thanks to COVID-19, Kent rock band The Lost Search Party have had a tricky time recording and preparing their self-financed debut EP ready for release.  As their social media post says it’s been a case of “5 songs, 4 recording studios, 3 national lockdowns, 2 bass players to produce 1 EP!  After this lengthy preparation, it’s now here.  I picked up on the first single, Getaway last week and was immediately attracted to the catchy hook-laden guitars, and requested a copy of the EP to review.
