Rhiannon Giddens – I’m On My Way (Official Video)

Rhiannon Giddens’ latest album there is no Other, recorded with Italian multi-instrumentalist Francesco Turrisi, is set for May 3 release on Nonesuch Records. Produced by Joe Henry and tracked over an intensely productive five day period in Dublin, Ireland, there is no Other is at once a condemnation of “othering” and a celebration of the spread of ideas, connectivity, and shared experience.

Tour News : KARNIVOOL ANNOUNCE THE PRAXIS TOUR 2019

Karnivool, Fidelity Corporation & Billions Australia are very happy to announce The Praxis Tour 2019.

Praxis definition: the process of using a theory or something that you have learned in a practical way.
Karnivool was a sleeping giant in 2018, but the beast stirred in January of this year with a short run of dates in WA and SA leading into a headlining slot at the Unify Gathering festival in regional VIC. This jaunt was so well received (all shows sold out) and more importantly so much damn fun for the band that it only seems fair that they should visit the rest of Australia and remind their fans how unique the atmosphere is in the temple of Vool – the band were a little overwhelmed by how many messages they got from other cities in Australia asking for a visit – it had been awhile!

Introducing Nashville at The Factory Theatre, Sydney – 21st March 2019

A four-artist bill featuring some of North America’s most exciting established and up-and-coming artists – Brandy Clark, Devin Dawson, Lindsay Ell and Tenille Townes have embarked on a unique tour following their CMC Rocks appearances, in a totally different style and format to what many Country Music fans would be used to. Designed to introduce current artists from Nashville to music fans around the world, this two-hour seated show presented the artists on stage together, in a rare stripped-back environment, mirroring a quintessential Nashville “writers round”, we saw the four, all of whom are on their first trip Down Under, take turns to introduce their songs, sharing the stories behind the tracks, along with some fascinating personal life and career experiences.

Review and photos by Peter Coates

Ashley McBryde is on her first trip Down Under, appearing at CMC Rocks this weekend, and her band kicked off with a solid blues rock riff and the lady herself wandered out guitar, slung low and kicked into the opening song Livin’ Next to Leroy.
