Sydonia, they’re a really amazing band, and the lead singer’s got a very unique voice. They’re really heavy but incorporate so many different vibes that it’s a little bit hard to categorize them musically. I think, too, that’s something music’s sort of lost”.
Jim Root – Slipknot/Stone Sour

It’s not uncommon for a band to claim that their sound is a hard one to pinpoint, but how many groups have members of Slipknot and Lamb Of God publicly singing your praises?

Widely respected for their ability to blend crushing instrumental passages with a melodic sensibility that few bands can match, Sydonia’s new single “Ocean Of Storms” is the group’s most accomplished work yet. Mixed by legendary UK producer Colin Richardson (Slipknot, Machine Head, Bullet For My Valentine), the track is but a glimpse of what Sydonia’s long-awaited second record has to offer.

The release of “Ocean of Storms” will see Sydonia take their impressive live show down the East Coast of the country.

Sydonia are no strangers to the live scene, in 2007 they were invited to join Lamb Of God on their Australian tour, while Stone Sour took the Australian quartet on a 30 date US trek in the same year.

After supporting Slipknot and Machine Head on their mammoth Australian run in 2008, Sydonia released their debut DVD Through The Lens Is All We Are in 2009, which was backed by a successful headline run.

This year has seen the progressive outfit hit the road nationally with US group Between The Buried And Me, as well as play main support to Dead Letter Circus on their sold-out ‘This Is The Warning’ tour.

“Sydonia is a band that exemplifies the word ‘diverse’. The best of pop sensibilities is tempered at times with brutal angst. ‘No Woman’s Land’ is a song that should be playing on every radio station in every city on this planet!” – D. Randall Blythe – Lamb Of God
