SUZI QUATRO TO SIGN NEW ALBUM AT DENI UTE MUSTER – 30 September 2011

Suzi Quatro fans at this year’s Deniliquin Ute Muster and Play on the Plains Festival will be treated to a rare opportunity to get the Queen of Rock’s signature.

Headlining the Friday night concert at this year’s Festival on September 30, Festival organisers have received confirmation that Suzi will be arriving early to sign her new album for fans.

“It’s a real treat to have Suzi performing on our stage, but it’s a real added bonus to our event to have her arriving early and spending a couple of hours signing her new album for her fans,” Festival General Manager John Harvie said.

Suzi will spend 2 hours signing copies of her new album In the Spotlight (not old albums) at the Sanity merchandise store on Friday afternoon before she heads backstage to prepare for her performance.

In The Spotlight is the brand new studio album from Suzi and it sees her going back to basics to where it all began for her, with good, honest, rock and roll.

In The Spotlight also sees the reunion of Suzi with producer Mike Chapman — which is evident when listening to the album. A tour de force in British pop music in the 1970s and far beyond, Mike Chapman, along with Nicky Chinn, produced major hits for Suzi, including Can the Can, 48 Crash, and Devil Gate Drive.

The Deniliquin Ute Muster and Play on the Plains Festival will also feature the world record blue singlet count, The Australian National Circle Work ChampionshipsTM, ute show and shine competition, ute driving competitions, a bullride spectacular and much more.

The on-stage entertainment line-up on the Essential Energy Stage includes Icehouse, Eskimo Joe, Guy Sebastian, Adam Brand, Troy Cassar-Daley and Luke Dickens on Saturday night, and Suzi Quatro, The Sunny Cowgirls, Adam Harvey and Beccy Cole, McAlister Kemp and Tori Darke on Friday night.

At ½ time of the AFL Grand Final broadcast live on the big screen, Mental As Anything will be live and loud on the stage at the Deni Ute Muster!

Festival passes include all entertainment and camping onsite and children under 13 years are admitted free!

Tickets are available online or from Sanity stores. Further details and the festival program is available online at www.deniutemuster.com.au or phone Festival HQ on (03) 5881 3388.
