STEREOLAB announce supports for Australian Tour

stereolab Prodigious, influential, boundary-pushing UK group STEREOLAB return to Australia after a six year hiatus to play two highly-anticipated side shows in Sydney and Melbourne, in addition to the national St Jerome’s Laneway Festival. Over the course of their 17-year history, the enviable, genre-shifting writing talents of Tim Ganes and the eloquent, elegant vocals of singer Laeticia Sadler have been honed to perfection, as evidenced on their 2008 release, Chemical Chords. At once experimental and crowd-pleasing, STEREOLAB have assured themselves a place in the in the indie-rock canon and are a live proposition not to be missed.

“No one can do beautiful, energising crossover pop like Stereolab” – The Independent [UK]
“‘Stereolab‘s stage show is one big massive party’ – Popmatters [US]

STEREOLAB will be joined on stage in both Sydney and Melbourne by the heart-crushingly lovely THE CRAYON FIELDS, who are on the verge of releasing the follow-up to their critically-adored debut Animal Bells. Having garnered praise and fans all over the world for their ethereal, evocative and undeniably classy brand of indie pop, THE CRAYON FIELDS are the perfect companions for STEREOLAB during these very special shows.

Melbourne fans will also be treated to the talents of GUY BLACKMAN, the Melbourne DIY institution who will bring his sly, elegant and unnervingly forthright pop to the table. Songs from Guy’s solo debut Adult Baby, a stylish concoction of horns, strings, piano and heartrending confessionals will be brought to life by Guy and his full backing band.
