Britain’s very own DJ/Producer whiz Rory Phillips is set to embark on a spring tour of Australia in October posting gigs in Oz’s three biggest cities – Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane.

Best known for his iconic sets alongside Erol Alkan at London’s premier taste making nightspot Trash (R.I.P), his mutant-disco workouts at East London’s Our Disco and his main room slot at Trash’s successor Durrr, Rory Phillips’ unique style of awkward dance, forgotten post-punk classics and electronic oddities has seen him play to mass crowds across Europe, Asia and the USA.

This Spring, Phillips has teamed up with Fuzzy Touring in a bid to command and conquer the juggernaut that is the Australian continent. With highly-anticipated gigs at Sydney’s iconic Civic Hotel, Melbourne’s unique New Guernica and Brisbane’s oh-so-funky Alhambra, Phillips will be hitting the shores of Australia for the very first time, strapped with his signature telephone headphones and an army of indie-disco-house remixes and edits for the masses alike.

Having played alongside the likes of 2ManyDJs, A-Trak, Mylo and Justice, Phillips is no stranger to the pressure of the music world. After being handpicked to produce remixes for Franz Ferdinand, Chromeo and Robyn’s UK Number 1, ‘With Every Heartbeat’, Phillips is now uber-hot property on the dance circuit. His eclectic approach to music was best defined in his widely-lauded remix compilation that featured notable remixes of The Xx’s ‘Crystalised’ and the Scissor Sisters ‘Fire With Fire’ as a limited 12” on his own Hungry Beat imprint. If you haven’t by now heard of Rory Phillips, be ashamed.

You can catch one of Rory Phillips’ sets at any of the following shows:

Saturday October 23rd: Generic Collective presents @ The Civic Hotel, Sydney
Friday October 29th: New Guernica, Melbourne
Saturday October 30th: Saturdays @ Alhambra, Brisbane
