New to the scene are Sydney’s Pulse Mavens! Female fronted “Pop Punk band” Pulse Mavens have burst on to the scene with a debut EP “Fight Back”. Known for their energetic performances, the band are looking forward to showcasing songs from the post-summer release available at iTunes now
The EP features five full throttle tracks including the first single “Fight Back” which has been accompanied by a music video in a punk garage setting.
“Fight Back” is an impressive debut achievement. Recording with producers Shane ‘Buddha’ Edwards [Northlane], Dave Petrovic [Tonight Alive] and Whakaio Taahi [Tonight Alive], Pulse Mavens have really found their feet and their sound musically. They’ve managed to pull together a mixture of heavy and soft songs with high energy instruments and beguiling lyrics.
For the maturity of their sound, it’s interesting to know that as an outfit, Pulse Mavens have only been together since early 2013, Kait Hudson and Joseph Fahri met Chris James through a love of melodic post hardcore and pop-punk to form Pulse Mavens. Travis Kay (Wake The Giants) joined later.
It’s not surprising to know that the formation of the band was relatively organic, driven by a passion for similar genres and a motivation to play music. Consequently, the band’s live shows are dynamic, high energy and captivating, from the tenacious vocals of Kait Hudson to the impressive instrumentation of Joseph Fahri (drums), Travis Kay (bass) and Chris James (guitar), Pulse Mavens are pushing the boundaries on music today with a sound for the future.
Pulse Mavens have managed to create a tight sound, with strong bass lines, pumping guitar and impressive vocals. From the opening bars of the first track, it’s evident that Pulse Mavens have a chemistry that will set them up for big things to come.
