A perfect autumn afternoon into night, a well behaved crowd and music history live on stage, as a music lover could you ask for more?

Kicking off The Badloves the audience sang loudly to ‘Green Limousine”, “Lost” and “The Weight”. Lead singer Michael Spiby lead the 5000 plus crowd in song and a fitting warm up of what was to come.

Mark Seymour & The Undertow entertained the crowd with solo work and Hunters classics including “Do You See What I See”, “When The River Runs Dry” and the anthemic ‘Holy Grail’.

With the daylight fading The Angels took the stage. Dave Gleeson out in front at a hundred miles an hour and great entertainment. The band was a Brewster again with original brothers John and Rick joined on stage by son Sam on bass. The hour set included all the hits “No Secrets”, “Shadow Boxer”, “Take a Long Line”. The unofficial Australian anthem “Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again” with backing vocals from the crowd hit the nighttime spot.

Noiseworks were slow to take off with the band introducing the audience to 5 new songs but everyone just wanted the hits. When they came it was as strong as ever. “Touch”, “No Lies” and “Hot Chilli Woman” took a while but it was worth it. Jon Stevens has lost nothing in voice or stage presence.

Photographers and music lovers got a rare opportunity to shoot two music icons on the one stage thanks to Jimmy Barnes. Opening with a “special guest” Barnes was joined on stage by Jon Stevens to sing “Good Times”.

Jimmy Barnes was the complete package. Moving between solo and Cold Chisel hits the audience wanted more. It was great to be taken back with songs like “I’d Die To Be With You Tonight”. With daughters on vocals and a son on drums it was also a Barnes family affair on Saturday night. Hearing “Merry Go Round” a Chisel classic from 78 was the perfect night cap to an all aussie evening.
