KISS is one of the most legendary Rock’n’Roll bands in history, touring all over the world since 1973. KISS is now Down Under for their 40th anniversary in which they toured Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Newcastle and Queensland. Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons originally formed the band in the early 1970s and have rocked on through the ages with visually spectacular light shows and dramatic stage productions. Tonight’s show at The Brisbane Entertainment Centre was jam packed out with a sea of elaborate outfits and painted faces.

KISS descended upon the stage via ‘The Spider’ playing one of the great stadium openers, Detroit Rock City. Throughout the duration of the song, huge fire canons and lasers entertained the audience as the members of KISS posed for photographers.

The lead guitarist Tommy Thayer performed alongside the other members of KISS. Thayer enticed the crowd with his outstanding guitar solo, followed by phenomenal stage productions and rockets. Eric Singer enchanted the crowd with his old school drumming which set the beat for the echoing sound of marching from the mosh pit. His Drum set was rigged with LED lights, set centre stage.

Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons found the winning formula to their act many years ago when they originally released their Alive album. Despite the iconic band being around for 4 decades the set production was spectacular with pyrotechnics, laser shows, fog and enough confetti to fill the arena.

KISS offered the classics such as Calling Dr. Love, Detroit Rock city and Psycho Circus as well as newer releases from their 2012 album ‘Monster’. Highlights included an enthusiastic version of I Was Made for Lovin’ You, where the crowd’s energy was roaring loud after Stanley flew across the stadium.

The ending of the 40th anniversary tour in Australia can only end one way; with the classical rock’n’roll anthem, Rock and Roll All Nite. The stadium was engulfed in a downpour of confetti, LED lights, lasers and pyrotechnics as the platform rose with the drummer Eric Singer. Paul Stanley then wows the crowd with one of the classic rock and roll traditions, smashing a guitar on stage.

KISS delivers a larger than life show. With the crowd cheering, singing and yelling for more, it’s obvious that a KISS concert in 2015 is as good as it gets!!
