LIAM GRIFFIN Solo Tour of South East Queensland

Album Pre-Sales Available at All Tour Dates Two Songs in QSONG Awards Top 10 After an extended break from live performances, LIAM GRIFFIN is jumping back in the saddle for what he does best, for a special SOLO tour of South East Queensland. The tour will include performances on the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, and Brisbane’s Troubadour on Sunday July 12th. LIAM GRIFFIN may have been an absent addition to the local gig guides for some time now, but that’s not to say he hasn’t kept busy. With writing and recording new songs for his next release, and travelling through the UK and Europe, it’s very exciting to hear that he’s making the time to get back onstage once again.

“I’m really excited about getting back out there and playing some shows again. I’ve been really busy the past few months writing and recording songs in my basement after I did some travelling through Europe and the UK. I’m keen to play some of these new songs to audiences and get some feedback on how they react to new concepts I’m adding into my music. And to play solo will be a refreshing part of the experience for me, as most of my performances last year were with a band.” LIAM GRIFFIN

During the solo tour of South East Queensland, LIAM GRIFFIN will be giving audiences the opportunity to pre-purchase his debut album at all tour dates. For $25, buyers will receive a signed copy of the album mailed to their address, with their name printed in the liner notes of every copy of the album. The proceeds of the pre-sales will assist in the production of the album, to be released in early 2010 independently through Liam Griffin’s self-managed record label, Mailbox Records.

Feedback on the new material has already been very positive, with two of the demo’s nominated for the Top 10 in this years QSONG Awards. The Shutters in the Alternative Category, and Starry Night in the Rock Category.
