LAMB (UK) : Australian Tour 2011 [Tour News & Tickets]

Lamb chooses Australia to launch their World Tour and first new album in 8 years.

Lamb have chosen Australia as the country to open the first leg of their ‘5 World Tour’ that will take them around the globe during 2011 and 2012. Australian audiences will also be the first anywhere to hear live new songs from 5 – the first new studio album from Lamb since 2003’s ‘Between Darkness and Wonder’ some 8 years ago.

After a 5-year hiatus, Lamb returned refreshed in 2009 for a series of ‘one off’ festival appearances that took them to 30 countries. Those lucky enough to be there witnessed breathtaking live performances from a band who set themselves formidable standards. The ‘5 World Tour’ will see Lamb climb even greater heights and will be one of “those” gigs… the unforgettable type. Following shows in Melbourne and Brisbane, the only place to witness this world first in NSW is at their closing of the 2011 Playground Weekender Festival.

‘There’s something fresh and new about the music we’re writing. It hasn’t been this way since the first album when we felt utterly unconcerned with what anyone felt about what we were doing. It was about the music and the journey that it took us on. We said we wouldn’t make another Lamb album until we had something new to say. That time has definitely come.’ Lou Rhodes Nov 2010

“This is life-affirming electronic music at its very best.” The Big Chill 2009 (UK)

“… ensure that they’re on your list of bands to see before you die … It’s the personal touch which when combined with the emotive music and words leaves you exiting the venue with a warm glowing feeling knowing you just witnessed something truly special.” In the Mix
