Eskimo Joe will headline the Kangaroo Island Surf Music Festival as the first music line up is announced, in what will be their exclusive South Australian show in 2011.
The music component of the Kangaroo Island Surf Music Festival will be held on a beautiful private property in Vivonne Bay on the nights of November 3, 4 and 5, with tickets on sale August 17 through Moshtix for only $50 + bf. |
After a sold out run of acoustic shows in May, Eskimo Joe are hitting the road for a national tour to celebrate the launch of their eagerly awaited fifth studio album GHOSTS OF THE PAST.
After recording the album on the NSW Central Coast, the boys from Freo cant wait to get back to South Australia and give their legion of fans a taste of new music and deliver a show in true Eskies style, which has made them one of Australias most loved live bands.
“It will be fantastic to be able to bring our music to such a beautiful part of South Australia and to be able to perform in such an iconic setting” Said Eskimo Joe‘s lead singer, Kav.
Also fronting the bill are the surf, roots n rock band, The Beautiful Girls, in one of their only shows in Australia for 2011 and their exclusive South Australian show this year.
They will be followed by the extremely hot Hungry Kids of Hungary, The Holidays, Ash Grunwald, Van She, Big Scary and an acoustic performance from The Beautiful Girls Mat McHugh, with more still to be announced.
Surfing South Australia events manager Tim Doman is thrilled to announce todays line up.
“We have put together a fantastic Australian line up of music, which fits perfectly alongside with our international surfing event” said Tim.
“Kangaroo Island is the most relaxed place on earth, it is such a beautiful setting for people to come over watch some international surfing and see some of Australia’s best musicians”

Surfing South Australia has been working with Sealink to ensure that travel and tickets to the island are priced right.
3 Day Festival passes will go on sale Wednesday the 17th of August from Moshtix.com.au and will be $50 + bf, including FREE CAMPING.
